  • Laganside hosting a art competition for schools, with the winning entries being made into a calendar.

March 2004

  • Six schools participating in the Magistrates' Court Mock Trial Competition at Laganside Courts.
  • Downpatrick Court staff attends career convention in the Slieve Donard hotel as organised by the Down Business Education Partnership.
  • Presentation to staff at Londonderry Courthouse by Women's Aid.
  • Church of Ireland Men's society visit Armagh Courthouse.
  • Londonderry Courthouse launches Childrens' Order Advisory Committee (COAC) guidelines.
  • Londonderry Courthouse holding event for European Year of the Disabled: event organised in association with Disability Action.
  • Coleraine Courthouse holding fund raising auction.
  • Newtonards Courthouse hosts Open Day.
  • Meeting involving Resident Magistrates and Relate in respect of the new mediation pilot scheme in Belfast and Ballymena Courthouses.
  • Laganside staff to give talk to the General Consumer Council on the small claims process.

February 2004

  • Lisburn Court staff will be attending a careers convention organised by the Business Education Partnership.
  • Antrim Court staff will be attending a careers convention in the North East Institute (Antrim campus) organised by the Business Education Partnership.
  • Ballymena Court staff will be attending a careers convention North East Institute (Farm Lodge campus) organised by the Business Education Partnership.
  • St Columcilles Primary School (10 - 11 year olds) visit Omagh Courthouse.
  • St Patrick's College visit Armagh Courthouse in preparation for the
    Magistrates' Court Mock Trial Competition.
  • Londonderry Court staff attend deaf awareness training.
  • Ballymena Court staff attend careers fair at Ballymena Academy.

January 2004

  • Presentation at the Royal Courts of Justice to Social Workers on dealing with the financial affairs of mentally incapable patients in Antrim Area Hospital by the Office of Care and Protection.
  • Presentation on probate applications by Master McReynolds and Rosalind Neill to solicitors at Law Society House.
  • Visit from Irish Court Service to Laganside Courts.
  • Visit from Prison Service to Laganside Courts.
  • Photo shoot of Laganside Courts for the Royal Society of Ulster Architects.  
  • Omagh Court staff attend a local Business Education Partnership Jobs Fair held in the Lakeland Youth Centre.
  • Saint Patrick's Trian at Armagh Courthouse.
