PRACTICE DIRECTION

 

 

CCTV CAMERA FOOTAGE

 

 

The Recorder of Londonderry Court requires the following criteria to be fulfilled: -

 

  1. CCTV camera footage which forms part of the evidence in all crown cases and particularly assault cases must be provided by PPS to the defence at the committal stage.

 

  1. The Resident Magistrate will require confirmation at the committal hearing that the video has been provided to the defence.

 

  1. The defence will be responsible for the safekeeping of the copy of the CCTV camera footage and if the copy is lost the defence will be responsible for the cost of a duplicate being provided.
