Description:These Rules amend the County Court Rules (Northern Ireland) 1981 [S.R. 1981 No. 225] so as to- amend rules 3 and 12 of Order 30 and Form 284 to take account of amendments to the Consumer Credit Act 1974 made by the Consumer Credit Act 2006 in relation to applications for time orders in connection with credit agreements; - insert new rules 1(4C) and (4D) in Order 32 relating to appeals brought under the UK Borders Act 2007 (c. 30); and - Prescribe the procedure relating to applications for directions for a witness (other than the defendant) to give evidence by live link under Part III of the Criminal Justice (Northern Ireland) Order 2004.

Status:These Rules were considered and made by the Rules Committee on 16th December 2008. The Lord Chief Justice has been consulted on the Rules and the Lord Chancellor has allowed them. They are due to come into operation on the 9th February 2009
