Omagh Civil Action Moves to Dublin

The Omagh civil action will transfer from the High Court in Belfast to the Four Courts, Dublin on 12 May 2008 to hear evidence from Garda officers.

  1. The proceedings are expected to be listed in Court 29, The Four Courts, Dublin on the following dates –
    12 May 2008 – 15 May 2008
    27 May 2008 – 29 May 2008
  2. It is expected that the court will commence at 10.30 am – any change to this will be notified to you in advance.
  3. There is no parking at the courthouse however the media may avail of the public car park on Ushers Island (South Quays) which is close to the courthouse. Entrance to the Four Courts is through the main gated entrance on the Quays. The Court is located on the second floor at the east wing of the building. Staff will be available to assist. Further directions can be found on the Courts Service website – www.courts.ie
  4. Media facilities are available at the courthouse and you will be advised on the day regarding this should you require it.
  5. If the demand to attend the court outweighs the availability of space within the court room, places will be offered on a first come first serve basis – while ensuring each primary media outlet is accommodated.
  6. Should you wish to attend please contact Jane Grogan or Sandra Moore (details below) by Sunday 11 May – you should also bring your media pass with you for clearance purposes. Both of these officials will be at the Four Courts on Monday 12 May should you require further assistance.
