Children Order Bulletin (Provisional Statistics)
January – March 2012

Figures published today by the NI Courts and Tribunals Service in the quarterly Children Order Bulletin outline the Children Order business received and dealt with during the quarter January to March 2012.

During the quarter;

• There were 1,514 applications entered during the period;
• There were 1,311 applications dealt with during the period;
• There were 152 cases transferred during the period;
• The average waiting time in weeks from lodgement to disposal for public law cases was 41 weeks
• The average waiting time in weeks between lodgement to disposal for private law cases was 21 weeks

• There were 1,514 applications entered during the period, of which:
  200 = Public
  1,314 = Private
